Foot Care

About This Service

Utilizing foot care by a trained nurse at LFHT, particularly for aging seniors and diabetic patients, is essential for preventing complications and promoting overall health. At LFHT this service is part of the regular foot assessments for all patients to detect early signs of problems such as infections, ulcers, or neuropathy. This is particularly crucial for diabetic patients who may have reduced sensation in their feet. Our trained nurse provides education on proper foot hygiene, appropriate footwear, and daily foot inspection practices to prevent injuries and complications. They also offer guidance on managing conditions like calluses, corns, and toenail issues. The foot care program at LFHT enhances the prevention, detection, and management of foot-related issues in aging seniors and diabetic patients, thereby improving their overall health and quality of life.
